Structure & Staffing
The City of Kingsland Fire Department is a Class-3 ISO rating department consisting of career and volunteer firefighters. The department currently employs 32 volunteers, 23 career medical/firefighters, and 12 part-time medical/firefighters. To provide around the clock fire protection the department has 3 shifts (A, B, & C) of firefighters that work 24 hours on and 48 hours off.

The Chief and Assistant Chief work 8 to 5 Monday through Friday. The department currently operates 3 fire stations with plans of more in the very near future. An other information is avalable at the Fire departments web site : kingslandfirerescue.org

Our main goal is to serve the citizens of Kingsland by protecting lives and property. We also provide:

  • Child safety seat installations and inspections
  • CPR and first aid training
  • Public fire safety education
  • Building inspections
  • Hazardous materials response team
  • Pre-fire planning of businesses
Explorer Program
You must be 14 years old to attend the Explorer Program for young adults that the City of Kingsland provides.

Volunteer Service
We have a Volunteer Service and are always looking for new energetic adults wanting to learn to be fire fighters.
 
Requirements
You must be able to pass a background check. Upon completion we will provide the required training that you will need to become a firefighter and a first responder.
